Apple recently released an update to Safari 11 that attempts to intelligently identifies tracking cookies and restricts them from use across multiple sites.
What does this mean for the ability of Ascend to track users for purposes of conversion optimization?
The short answer is - not much. Ascend uses 1st party tracking cookies as opposed to 3rd party tracking cookies, so there is no impact to Ascend functionality. ITP is targeted primarily at advertising and marketing technology vendors who attempt to target people across multiple websites - eg, for the retargeting of product advertisements. No action is required by Ascend customers.
